When we were children......
Childhood. The only thing we still miss about our life. If you personally ask me, childhood was the best part of my life. It was a part when Harry Potter and Santa were a reality. It was a time when unicorns flew in our minds and getting chocolates and toffees was a treat. It was a time when Ben 10's watch was our dream watch. It was a time when eating laddoos meant strength since the same happened with Chhota Bheem. It was a time when 'pikachu' was our dream pet.
It was a time when we were carefree and never really felt the responsibilities we had on our shoulders. We never really realized the urge to prove ourselves to the society so that we could thrive in this competitive world. We always knew that we were never alone. We as children always thought that love was the guiding principle in this world. We thought love was stronger than hatred. We never knew that there were demons inside us which we needed to conquer.
Time just flew by. Like I never actually realized the time when x,y,z moved from English to Math. We never realized when the hugs and kisses our mother gave us, for which we once thrived, became an embarrassment. Did we ever really just stopped for a second and thought what have we become now? The answer is no, we never. We never actually realized how fast our life was. I am still nostalgic about the time when our routine was 'all play and no work'. We all just played all day long during the summer break. I remember the time when we used to give two toffees extra to our friend on our birthday.
It was a time when stars were the ground for our imagination. It was a time when we all really thought that being good during the Christmas season brought us gifts. I am still very nostalgic about the time when we thought our mother was our guide, but today all we say is,"Mom you don't know anything.". It was a time we all loved.
We never really loose the child within but all happens to the child is that it gets lost somewhere as we grow older. It makes a house within ourselves in a place called'lost forever'. Sometimes just dancing around madly or just running here and there or by just loving and hugging your mom with the same warmth and love revokes the same child. Just look in the mirror and ask yourself where are you now and the child will definitely answer, the younger 'you' will answer.
Obviously, we cannot be that child again but as grown ups we can save that child from dying. Right?
